Karnali State Government has brought the annual policy and program for the financial year 2082/83. On Wednesday, acting state chief Nazir Miya presented the policy and program. After Yagyaraj Joshi, the head of Karnali Province, went to the US for treatment, Mia, the head of Far West Province, has taken over the responsibility of the Karnali Province Chief.

Presenting the policy and program in the Provincial Assembly, Acting Provincial Chief Miya informed that the policies and programs have been introduced based on the 16th five-year plan of Nepal, the second five-year plan of the Karnali Provincial Government, the policy and program of the fiscal year 2082/083 of the Government of Nepal, the principles and priorities of the budget of the fiscal year 2082/083 presented by the Provincial Government in the Provincial Assembly, and the programs conducted by the Provincial Government in the past and the positive impact on the citizens.

In the policies and programs introduced by the provincial government, strengthening the constitution and the federal democratic republican governance system through coordination and cooperation between all governments, giving high priority to infrastructure development as the basis of the province's prosperity, developing human capital through quality and accessible education and health, linking education to skills, skills to labor, labor to employment and employment to poverty alleviation, modernization, commercialization and mechanization of agriculture, self-sufficiency in food production and encouraging exports, conducting special programs in the industry, tourism, agriculture and livestock sectors It is mentioned in the policies and programs to create jobs and achieve prosperity, to rebuild the structures damaged by the earthquake in collaboration with the local government, to make the service delivery effective and to give the citizens a sense of good governance, to achieve frugality in current and administrative expenses and to increase the capital expenditure. There are some new programs in the

policies and programs, while most of the old ones are repeated. It is said that an apple management board will be formed for the development and expansion of apples in Karnali province in the policy and program of the province. The government has said that apple, walnut and orange development program will be conducted as a special program in the province. The government has adopted a policy of providing incentives based on the number of plants for at least three years to ensure sustainable competition and self-sufficiency in fruits such as kiwi, dragon, mango, lychee, and banana. For that, a village, a commercial fruit garden program will be conducted. Similarly, it has been mentioned in the policy and program that interest subsidies will be given to farmers who do agricultural business on more than five hectares of land and farmers' cooperatives and groups that cultivate more than two hectares of land will also be given subsidies. 

Community seed bank and Raithane crop processing mill will be established to protect and promote Raithane crops, it is also mentioned in the policy and program of the provincial government. It is also said that the minimum price of crops will be set. In order to regulate, reduce and discourage the use of chemical pesticides, the provincial government has also informed that pesticide testing laboratories will be conducted at Kapurkot in Salyan and Harre in Surkhet. It is an old policy and program of the state government to set up pesticide testing laboratories in Kapurkot and Harre. In the year 2075/076, a budget of 15 million was also allocated for the construction of the laboratory. But the laboratory has not yet been put into operation.

It is also said in the policy and program that Tuin will be completely displaced from the province within this financial year by constructing a suspension bridge. The Karnali government has said that emphasis will be placed on the necessary infrastructure and skill development programs to promote 'Make in Karnali'.
