Ward president Lalit Bahadur Shahi of Tila rural municipality-5 of Jumla was stabbed. The injured Ward President Shahi is being treated at the Karnali Institute of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, Jumla.
Ward president Shahi said that he was stabbed while returning home after monitoring the development project in Tila-4. 'We were returning home, suddenly a knife was thrown,' he said, 'there was no dispute with them. Now there is no option to proceed with the legal process. Preparations are being made to file a complaint against the killing industry.' Ward president Shahi's body has been stitched in 17 places. He says that Lucky Budha of Tila-3, Sudhan Shahi and Sushil Shahi of Tila-4 threw the knife. They also pelted stones on Tila-4 ward president Dhan Bahadur Shahi who was with him. He was not injured because he was wearing a helmet. 'It was seen that their intention was to kill,' Dhan Bahadur said.
Petition filed against youth who threw knife
District Police Office Jumla Chief DSP Ravinbabu Regmi said. Rural Municipality President Motilal Rokaya and Vice President Kalpana Budha went to the hospital to meet the injured ward president. They have demanded strict action against the culprits.
