Under the Karnali Corridor, Khulalu-Lalighat road section of Calikot will be completely closed for four days from Tuesday.
Citizens of Kalikot, Bajura and Humla are going to suffer through this road. According to the notice published by the District Administration Office, Calikot, the meeting of the stakeholders held on Friday decided to close the road for four days for the upgrading of the road, informed the Assistant Commissioner Janak Sharma.
According to him, the road section will be closed from the morning of 20th of May to the evening of 24th. The vehicles coming from Karnali Highway will stop at Jite Hulm, while the vehicles coming from Sanni Triveni, Raskot, Pachaljharna and Palata of Humla Bajura and Calikot will stop at Lalighat and turn around and send the passengers to their destination.
The traffic of vehicles has been stopped for the construction and maintenance of necessary structures on this road section which is under construction after the contract was signed by the road division office. About 1 km section of the corridor for four days to carry out the construction work smoothly The administration has made it clear that it had to be closed. The place is narrow and difficult.
