Nine people were injured in a jeep accident in Salyan on Sunday afternoon. The jeep of Lu 1 J 1637, which was going to Tulsipur from Rim of Kapurkot Rural Municipality 5, had an accident on the Rapti Highway located in Lamidanda of Kapurkot Rural Municipality-3.
Police Inspector Baburam Basnet, Information Officer of District Police Office Salyan, said that all the injured were sent to Provincial Hospital Tulsipur for treatment and from there 6 seriously and moderately injured were referred to Nepalgunj.
Police inspector Basnet informed that the jeep was out of control and had an accident. 37-year-old Gyan Bahadur Mahtara, a jeep driver living in Kapurkot rural municipality-5, has been detained by the police. There were 12 passengers in the jeep.
