Bangad Kupinde Municipality-11 Panchhare of district Bangad Kupinde Municipality-11 Panchhare, Navjyoti Primary School, a two-storied building was blown off its corrugated iron roof by a storm. The roof of the building has not yet been installed. Children's education has been affected due to not being able to install the roof that was thrown by the storm.
Despite the request to the concerned body, the roof has not yet been put up, so the education has been affected by having to keep two classes of children in the same room in the old building.
The principal of the school, Ratna Bahadur Rana, said that due to the inability to build a roof, the children of classes 4 and 5, 3 and 2, 1 and infants of the school running up to class 5 were forced to study in one/one room of the old building built by Salyan two decades ago by the then education office. He informed that there are 57 students up to class 5 in the school and there is a problem of not understanding when students of two classes are taught together.
'If there were separate rooms, a teacher could teach a class for 45 minutes . Now we have to teach the students of one class for 20 minutes and the students of the other class for 20 minutes,'' he said. Let's keep the students in the stormy building, the room is wet because it rains every day. Because the wall is cracked, I am afraid to keep it. There is a condition that cannot be kept in the open square . If we don't keep them in one room, it is difficult to teach.'
When Hurri demolished the roof of the school's two-story building, the walls of the building cracked and the damage was worth 500,000. It has been heard that the budget was allocated when requested by the municipality, but due to various reasons, the principal could not go ahead with the repair work of the building, Rana informed.
Dilip Budha, chairman of the school management committee, said that since the school did not have a budget, the roof of the building that was blown down by the storm could not be repaired immediately. He informed that it was difficult for the teachers to keep the children of two classes in one room when the roof of the two-storey building was blown off. He said that although there are four teachers in the school including three teachers and one infant, while teaching students of one class, students of another class who are sitting together have to sit on the toilet.
