The Karnali Provincial Assembly meeting has been adjourned due to the absence of the main opposition and members of the opposition parties. Monday's meeting was adjourned until May 18 without entering the agenda.
On Sunday, the Working Arrangements Consultative Committee held a meeting and prepared an agenda to submit proposals of urgent public importance and the Auditor General's seventh annual report 2082 to the Provincial Assembly meeting on Monday. But as none of the members of the provincial assembly from the opposition party were present in the meeting, the meeting was adjourned without entering the agenda.
Speaker Nanda Gurung said that she had not received any information about the fact that the main opposition party would not attend the meeting. She said that she did not know anything other than the fact that Kalyani Khadka, member of the provincial assembly of CPN Samajwadi, had gone to Kathmandu in connection with the party's program and Santoshi Shahi, the member of the provincial assembly of RPP, was ill.
Since then, the chief whip of the main opposition party, CPN Maoist Center, Krishna Bahadur GC said, 'We had to go to the party's campaign and because we had no business, we were absent because the ruling party did not agree to hold the meeting two-four days later'.
