In the camp run by Bagchaur municipality, 170 women have been tested for sexually transmitted diseases and cervical cancer. 170 women from Ward No. 8, 9 and 19 have been tested in a one-day camp conducted in Kotmoula.
Recently, women have been suffering from sexually transmitted diseases and cervical cancer, and because of shame, they have been hiding the disease, so the camp has been run, said Vinay Dangi, head of the municipality's health department.
He informed that women with uterine prolapse were also tested and treated. "The camp has been conducted so that women suffering from the disease can get treatment at home because they are unable to go out due to lack of finances and are ashamed to get tested," he said.
Dipendra Giri, in-charge of Kotmaula health post, said that the women with uterine prolapse were trained about cancer and sexually transmitted diseases. Free Medicines are provided . Giri says that the local women were relieved when they received treatment at their village home.
