One person died due to lightning in Choila Lake of Upper Dolpa. 52-year-old Tura Gurung, a taxi driver of Dolpobuddha Rural Municipality-3, died after being struck by lightning in Choila Lake.

District Police Office Dolpa Police Inspector Manish Thapa informed that he died due to a lightning strike while he was going to wash his clothes on Wednesday evening.

The police and the relatives were informed after the villager who went with him saw that Tora was struck by lightning.
