The Nepali Army has conducted a health camp in Kankasundari Rural Municipality of Jumla. Keeping in view the condition of the patients who could not reach the hospital due to lack of funds in the rural settlements, the army has run a camp in Kankasundari.
Patients from Hima, Sinja, Kankasundari, Tila and Tatopani Rural Municipality came to the camp for examination. Along with this, Devidatta Gana said that patients from Calikot and Mugu have also arrived at the camp for treatment. Ganpati Dhiraj Thapa informed that specialist services such as general physician, dentist, gynecology etc. were provided in the
camp. According to him, doctors from No. 24 Gulm and expert doctors from Karnali Institute of Health Sciences were assigned to the camp.
Army has run the camp in coordination with Public Health Service Office Jumla and Kankasundari Rural Municipality. 556 citizens have received health services from the camp. Ganapati Thapa informed that 184 men, 319 women and 53 children received medical treatment. In the
camp, women, children and senior citizens have easily received treatment services. According to Ganapati Thapa, health camps like this which are held every year are helping to improve civil and military relations.
"Even though the access to health services is easy in the city, there is a situation in the rural settlements where people have to wait because of the lack of easy treatment," Ganapati Thapa said, "This camp was run to check their health." Even now, the citizens are not getting the expensive treatment services of the city.
"They can't even go to the hospital due to lack of funds," President Acharya said.
Local Dipendra Prasad Upadhyay said that the army's health camp in the village was a relief. He said, "Earlier, there was fear as soon as the army was seen." Now the army has become the trust of everyone. which has helped to strengthen civil-military relations.
Kanakasundari rural municipality chairman Damodar Prasad Acharya, Nepali Army no. On behalf of 24 Bahini Adda, Bahinipati Mahasenani Lokesh KC, Dhiraj Thapa, Ganapati Chief of Devidatta Gana inspected the camp.
