The Rapti Highway, which was blocked due to landslides, was opened after 21 hours. Although the work could not be done during the night, the road was opened after 21 hours after removing the landslide by using excavators and dozers.
Rapti Highway was blocked from 4 pm on Thursday due to a large landslide in Kapurkot rural municipality-3 Chorkhola. Police Inspector Resam Bahadur Khatri of District Police Office Salyan said that after the excavator removed the landslide, the big and small vehicles headed towards their destination. According to him, the dozers provided by the relevant agencies on Thursday could not remove all the landslides and because they did not work at night, the Rapti highway had been blocked for a long time.
JCB, after the landslide was removed by the dozer, the traffic was resumed but the traffic was difficult at that place, so be careful to drive the vehicle, police inspector Khatri asked the driver. He said that not only in rainy season but also in winter, the passengers are facing various kinds of suffering due to landslides around Chorkhola.
