Suryanarayan Shahi, head of the endangered Raute community, who leads a wandering life in the forest, has passed away. He passed away around 9:30 pm on Monday night.
Lal Bahadur Khatri, a pair of teachers from Sosec Nepal who has been working with the community where he died due to excessive alcohol consumption, informed.
Suryanarayan became the chief in June 2072. The Raute community is now living separately in two places . He was leading a group and living in Sotkhola of Barahtal Village-8 Surkhet. Another group is living in Karekhola of Virendranagar-13 with two chiefs.
