Relatives of Kali Bahadur Budha of Jumla, who died in a car collision, have continued their protest since Saturday morning.

They are protesting by burning tires and blocking the road at Airichowk in Birendranagar . On Friday, they also demonstrated by blocking the road throughout the day.

A 55-year-old old man of Hima rural municipality-4 in Jumla was hit by a force vehicle of Midwest Transport Pvt. No. 001 B 0915 of Karnali Province near Radio Nepal in Birendra Nagar Surkhet on 7th Baisakh. He was taken to the provincial hospital where the doctor declared him dead.

He said that they had to come to the streets due to the negligence of the relevant authorities. On Tuesday and Wednesday, there was continuous discussion at the District Police Office, Surkhet, but no conclusion was reached.

The police have said that the driver Dailekh Chamundabindrasaini Municipality-1, 24-year-old Tej Thamigar, has been detained. The family has not yet identified the body of the deceased.
