The relatives of 55-year-old Kali Bahadur Budha, who died in a car collision on Sunday, refused to identify him. A 55-year-old old man of Hima Rural Municipality-4 in Jumla was hit by a vehicle of Midwest Transport Pvt. No. 001 B 0915 of Karnali Province near Radio Nepal in Birendra Nagar Surkhet on 7th Baisakh.

Relatives and families of the deceased did not agree to cremate the body as they did not receive compensation. They have protested at Nagm Bazar and Birendranagar bordering Jumla Kalikot.  Due to the

movement, large and small vehicles plying on the Karnali highway could not ply. Although there have been many talks about compensation, the Yari Chowk in Birendranagar and Nagm in Jumla have come to a standstill. They have protested in a peaceful manner and Nepal Police and Armed Police have been deployed in large numbers.

Andolan Sangharsh Samiti coordinator Chhatra Bahadur Shahi said that he should get compensation. According to him, the relatives of the deceased have two demands. This is not an incident but a murder, so the murderer should be prosecuted and  It has been demanded to get proper compensation.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, discussions were held continuously at the District Police Office, Surkhet, but no conclusion was reached. Car dealers have been saying that compensation cannot be given except as prescribed by law. According to the family, Kali Bahadur left for Jumla at 6.30 am on Sunday morning. A vehicle coming from the opposite direction hit him near Radio Nepal under Ratna Highway. Coordinator Shahi claims that he was rushed to the hospital and the doctor declared him dead on the spot. "We were told that he died in the hospital in order to persuade us, it is not," he said.

According to Shahi, the coordinator of Sangharsh Samiti, the vehicle owner is not in contact. District Police Office Surkhet Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendravir Bishwakarma said that the driver Dailekh Chamundabindrasaini Municipality-1, 24-year-old Tej Thamigar, has been detained. He warned that if the demand is not addressed, the movement will intensify. "From Saturday, we will announce a phased movement," he said, "There has also been a movement at Nagm on the border of Jumla-Kalikot." We will not give up just like that.'

MPs and leaders elected to the state and House of Representatives from Jumla have issued a statement and publicized their views on the incident.

Chairman of Congress State Committee, Lalitjung Shahi, said that in the peaceful movement for justice, the justice of the victims was used by using power and strength. "It is seen as a very reprehensible act and irresponsible style of inflicting more human torture on the relatives of the victim," he said.

House of Representatives MP Gyanendra Shahi, Vinita Kathayat, State Assembly member Tekraj Pachai have also issued a statement in favor of the victims.

Hima rural municipality has also issued a statement and demanded that the victim's family should be compensated properly.
