In Jumla, the 1st Vasa Conference ended with the issuance of the 11-point manifesto. In coordination with Hima, Sinja and Kankasundari of the district, a housing conference was organized in Hima rural municipality-1 Dyargaon. Water Minister Pradeep Yadav also participated in the meeting.

While inaugurating the conference, Minister Yadav pledged not to let there be a lack of budget for water supply development in Jumla. He said, "We are planning to send crores of budget to the water supply development of Jumla within the current financial year." He also reiterated that no water supply project will be stalled due to lack of budget. 'Make a DPR and send it. We will ensure the source of the project and send it," Minister Yadav said, "Jumla is rich in water sources. Now the government investment in drinking water will increase.

According to him, the conference has highlighted the water and sanitation activities taking place at the local level and also identified the problems and challenges. In the

manifesto, it is mentioned that the water supply scheme will be established as a support center in all municipalities and maintenance funds will be arranged. It is also mentioned in the manifesto to intensify the construction campaign of one house, one stream, one house, one improved toilet, to develop the habit of washing hands with soapy water in every house, to strengthen the relationship between the housing coordination committee, working group, mothers' groups and stakeholders for the construction of a municipality oriented towards complete sanitation.

It is mentioned in the manifesto to provide gender-friendly safe drinking water and sanitation facilities in public places and institutions, to carry out a campaign to end socially harmful bad practices, to build a plan by prioritizing the multi-use system of water, to manage agriculture and liquid waste, and to plant trees in public places. It is also mentioned that at least 10 percent of the municipality's development budget should be spent annually on drinking water and sanitation, and that the sanitation and hygiene unit should be established as a permanent branch in accordance with the spirit of the municipality's drinking water, sanitation and hygiene act.
