Tilagufa Municipality has given honors and prizes to the winners of district level President Running Shield sports.
Tilagufa won 14 gold medals in the 15th Rashtapati Running Shield competition organized by District Sports Committee in Pachaljharna Rural Municipality. Representing the municipality in the
competition, mayor Shankar Upadhyay presented honors and cash prizes to the winning players on Sunday. The players were also given a tour of the city with goods.
The municipality has awarded gold medal winners with Rs 5,000 each. Similarly, the silver medal winning players have been rewarded with a cash prize of Rs 3,000 and the bronze medal winning players with a rate of Rs 2,000.
In this year's President's Running Shield competition, Narharinath Rural Municipality came third with 7 golds, while Palanta Rural Municipality came third with 4 golds.
