DPR has been started for the construction of a road connecting East Rukum via Tali village of Thooliveri Municipality of Dolpa.

In the first phase, DPR work has been completed for road construction from Tali village to Chinarangsi Patan within the municipality.

'The DPR of about 10 kilometers of roads within the municipality's borders has been completed, now the DPR is to be done from Chinarangsi to the border of Dolpa and East Rukum.

"80 percent of the DPR work on the road connecting Dolpa-Eastern Rukum has been completed, now 20% is left, that too will be completed by next week if the snow melts," he said. From there it reaches Rakumkot via Lal Patan, Kharbang. 

If this road is constructed, it will be directly connected to the Madhyapahari Lokmarg and it will become the shortest road connecting Dolpa-Kathmandu.

After the construction of the road, Kathmandu can be reached in one day from Dolpa via East Rukum-Baglung-Parwat-Pokhara, said Suvarnakumar Budha, head of Thuliberi municipality. We have done DPR from the municipal budget, as soon as the work is completed, we will initiate the budget with the state and union government.
