The health workers working in the Health Service Office Rukum West have said that they have not received their salary for 6 months. 12 people including medical officer, dental officer and public health officer have drawn attention through the health service office with an ultimatum of 3rd Baisakh for not getting their salary from October to March.

 

In a letter addressed to the head of the office and submitted with collective signatures, a warning has also been given that if the salary and allowances are not available by May 3, the hospital's services will be stopped except for emergency . One of the employees in the

scholarship agreement, Dr. Parag G.C. Subedi said that there are 7 medical officers, 2 dental surgeons and 3 public health officers who are not getting their salaries. He said that 4 people including 3 medical officers and 1 dental surgeon, who had worked in this office before, have not received their salary yet.

'We are constantly working . But it is becoming very difficult not to get the salary that is due. For some time, we ran a daily routine. Now it's getting difficult,' Subedi said, 'We have been forced to submit a letter with an ultimatum until the 3rd to put pressure on the relevant agencies through the office.' Health Service Office Head Mahesh Chaulagain said that the budget has not come from the district since November through the Ministry of Social Development of Karnali Province from the Health Department of the Nepal Government.

We have written several letters from here and requested the province on this matter. The answer is coming that the budget did not come from above," Choulagain said, "After the letter with the ultimatum came to the office yesterday, we have become more serious . We will inform the concerned healthcare workers after understanding more during office hours tomorrow.'
