Police have arrested a man in Salyan on the charge of trying to rape a 15-year-old girl.
A 51-year-old man was arrested in Darma Rural Municipality of the district. According to the police, the man was arrested based on the complaint that he tried to rape the victim girl on Friday night.
According to the Information Officer of District Police Office Salyan, Prani Baburam Basnet, the arrested man is being detained and is being investigated.
Basnet said that since Sunday is a public holiday, he will be brought to court only on Monday.
