In Tripurasundari of Dolpa, the city police beat up a businessman. 55-year-old Krishnamurari Vaishya was beaten up by the city police who had come to clean the market for littering in front of the grocery store.

He had come to do business from Nepalganj and was punched by the city police. His mouth was injured by the punch of the police and blood came out.

He said that the city police team that came in front of the shop early in the morning slapped him for pouring water on the main road in front of the shop and then punched him.

He said, 'That water leaked from above, there was no garbage in front of the shop, yet the police suddenly came and beat me, if the daughter-in-law had not arrived, they would have beaten me more, now I will seek legal remedy against the excesses of the city police.'

He complains that when he went to the nearby police station in Tripurakot, he was turned away by the police to go to the municipality.

City police constable Lok Bahadur Budha refused to clean up the garbage in front of the shop, the city police said.
