An old man who came to get a national identity card at the district administration office Salyan fell down and died. 70-year-old Tikaram Oli, who was a resident of Bagchaur Municipality-7 Paiyachaur of the district and currently living in Tatke, died.
He fought while standing inside the office premises to make a national identity card. Oli came to the district administration office Salyan from home on Thursday to make a national identity card with his niece and son-in-law.
Police Inspector Baburam Basnet, Information Officer of District Police Office Salyan, said that Oli, who fell unconscious after fighting, died on the way while being taken to the district hospital Salyan for treatment. According to him, Oli's head was injured after he fell unconscious. Oli's body has been kept in District Hospital Salyan for post-mortem.
Head of District Health Service Office Salyan Dr. Arjun Budha Magar said that the old man who collapsed and fainted may have died of a heart attack. He informed that the old man had an injury on his head.
