A house in Salyan was destroyed due to an electrical short and a fire. The house of 36-year-old Bishnu Kumai of Kumakh Rural Municipality-5 Jharkanda was destroyed by fire around 3 am on Tuesday.
Foodstuffs, clothes, utensils, important documents, two tolas of gold and 70,000 cash inside the house were destroyed by fire, according to Police Inspector Resham Bahadur Khatri of District Police Office Salyan. According to him, there was a loss worth 745,000 in the incident.
The family members fled after the fire. With the help of locals and police, the fire was brought under control after an hour and a half after cutting the power lines. The victim's family is staying with their relatives.
