17 people were injured in a jeep accident in Salyan. A jeep numbered 1 J 1214 coming to Srinagar from Timile of Kumakh Rural Municipality met with an accident at Gatiana near Siddhakumakh Rural Municipality-3 Falate around 10 am on Monday morning.
According to Police Inspector Resham Bahadur Khatri of District Police Office Salyan, all those injured in the accident were immediately rescued and all are being treated at Sharda Polyclinic located in Sharda Municipality-1 Srinagar. According to him, when the brake failed and hit the wall, the passenger jeep overturned on the road.
There were 18 people riding in the passenger jeep with the driver. He said that the driver of the vehicle, Akash Wadi, aged 24, resident of Sharda Municipality-1, was detained by the police.
