A teenager has been arrested in Salyan for raping a 15-year-old girl. A 19-year-old resident of Siddhakumakh rural municipality was arrested by the police on the charge of raping a neighbor's teenage girl.
According to the Information Officer of the District Police Office, Salyan, Baburam Basnet, on February 29, the teenager was raped while returning home from a wedding ceremony held in the village after celebrating Holi.
The girl was staying with her aunt as her family members had gone to India for work. After his brother returned from India, the police arrested the teenager after filing a complaint.
Police Inspector Basnet informed that the arrested juvenile is being investigated under the custody of District Police Office Salyan.
