Two houses in Salyan were destroyed by fire on Wednesday night.

The house of 40-year-old Keshlal Oli and 52-year-old Prem Vick of Khairiganda, Kalimati rural municipality-2 of the district was destroyed by fire. 

Due to the fire, the food, clothes and utensils in the house have been burnt. One bull, 11 goats, more than two dozen sheep in Keshlal Oli's barn have been burnt. 

After the fire, the family escaped and saved their lives. Resham Bahadur Khatri, Police Inspector of District Police Office Salyan informed that there was an estimated loss of Rs.

Similarly, police inspector Khatri said that Rs 17,000 in cash, two ducks, six chickens, grain leaves, clothes and utensils were burnt inside Prem Vick's house.

The fire in the shed had reached the house. The cause of the fire has not been revealed.  

Local Motilal Oli said that after the fire at night, all the villages together  He said that he tried to control the fire but failed.  He informed that the family of

victims are now being placed with their relatives. He says that due to the fire that initially broke out in the two-storied shed of Phus, another nearby house was also burnt down.
