47-year-old Purichandra Pandey, office assistant of District Election Office, Kalikot, died after falling from the shed of his house in Tadi, Khandachakra Municipality-3.
Saturday evening Pandey, who fell from Bardali, was taken to the district hospital for treatment on Sunday. But the district hospital referred him to Surkhet for a CT scan saying that he had a head injury.
Monday morning while taking him to Surkhet, he died on the way. Khadananda Pandey, the elder brother of the deceased, said that he died at 11 am on Monday after being taken to Asaraghat in Dailekh on Karnali highway while he was being taken to Surkhet for treatment. He was injured after falling from the roof of the house. He said, 'He died on the way while being taken to Surkhet for further treatment.'
Pandey has a wife and two sons who are currently working in the district election office through the district animal service, forest office.
