A child died in a fire in Jajarkot. His son Amar Bahadur Rokaya died when a fire broke out in the house of Janak Bahadur Rokaya of Kushe Rural Municipality-8 Sankt in the district on Sunday night.
Amar died when the load caught fire from the stove while cooking. Janak and his mother were also injured in the fire.
There was a family of seven in that house, everyone else ran away to save their lives. The animals on the lower floor were rescued and brought out by the locals.
Village chairman Harishchandra Basnet said that clothes, food and some cash inside the house were also burnt due to the fire. The team of Pack police station has reached the spot and is collecting details.
