The main organizing secretariat for the 10th National Games has been inaugurated. On Sunday, the secretariat was inaugurated in the stadium complex of Surkhet Birendranagar, the capital of Karnali province.
The 10th National Sports Competition is being held in Karnali from 3rd to 10th June. The secretariat was inaugurated with the participation of Youth and Sports Minister and the original organizing committee coordinator Tejulal Chaudhary, Karnali Chief Minister Yamlal Kandel, Social Development Minister Ghanshyam Bhandari and others.
Minister Chaudhary said that the competition will be conducted at the scheduled time. "It could not be done at the predetermined time due to technical reasons," he said, "The sports of Karnali province have been invested as a bold step." The sports infrastructure including the stadium has been built. He informed that work is being done on the tender process, committee formation, procurement, etc.
Chief Minister Kandel said that the people responsible for conducting the competition at the scheduled time should not be confused. He said that there is a suspicion that the weather will not be suitable for the sports competition in the month of May.
Minister of Social Development Dhanshyam Bhandari said that he is confident that the competition will be conducted at the scheduled time with the inauguration of the secretariat. "I request you to make a positive impression that Karnali can conduct a national level program," he said, "This tournament will identify Karnali's sports potential and the talent of the players."
