In case of disasters, the provincial emergency warehouse for immediate rescue and relief materials has been handed over to the province.
In a program organized in Birendra Nagar on Sunday, Home Minister Ramesh Lakkar handed over to the Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yamlal Kandel.
Western Nepal is at risk of earthquakes and natural disasters, so the Godamghar province under the federal government has been handed over to the Interior Minister, the author said.
There are various types of risks such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, fires, lakes, and cold waves, so it is necessary for all three levels of government to be prepared, he said. Similarly, he informed that the reconstruction of the structures damaged by the earthquake in Karnali and Sudurpaschim is going on.
He said that reconstruction unit offices have been established in Achham and Jajarkot and work is being done at a fast pace.
Similarly, Chief Minister Kandel said that it took seven years for the federal government to hand over the warehouse. He said that along with the transfer of physical structures, other structures and legal rights should also be transferred.
