Saleri Community Forest in Bangad Kupinde Municipality-4 Dobke has distributed beehives to consumers for income generation. Apiaries were distributed to 65 people belonging to the group.

Indra Budhathoki, Chairman of the Community Forest Consumer Committee, said that materials including modern beehives were distributed from the amount of 1 lakh 4 thousand of the community forest and 6 lakh 75 thousand of the ecosystem project. 

'Dobke is suitable for beekeeping as there are forests and pastures around it. Hives have been distributed so that the locals can continue beekeeping commercially,' he said. 

Bal Bahadur Budhathoki, who has been keeping bees in traditional beehives, said that he was relieved by providing modern beehives by the community forest.

Chairman of Ward No. 4 Pushkar Budhale  said that community forests encourage income generation by distributing nests to consumers.
