Tularam Dhital has been elected as the president of Nepal Intellectuals Council, Kalikot. A 23-member district committee was elected under the leadership of Dhital, a resident of Shubhakalika, from the fifth session held on Wednesday.

Dan Bahadur Dhami was elected as vice president, Sadanand Timilsina as secretary, Baliraj Shahi as treasurer, Naresh Darji and Nirmala Sharma Simkhada as joint secretaries.

Similarly, Parvati Chaulagain, Gopal Karki, Bharat Pandey, Dipendra Shahi, Pradeep Dhital, Jai Bahadur Sahakari, Chintan Nepali, Dilli Bahadur Singh, Yam Prasad Gautam, Chakra BC, Krishna Bam, Namraj Bam and others were elected as members.

Karnali Province in-charge of the council Lal Prasad Pokharel said that outgoing vice president Kalpana Sejuwal was selected as the central representative to participate in the convention held in Kathmandu last week of March.
