Four buildings were destroyed by fire last night in a hotel located on the shores of Rara Lake. It is said that the fire caused damage to the building made of wooden structure.
The fire was brought under control by the Nepali Army, personnel, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force this morning. As soon as the information about the fire was received, 15 police teams led by Deputy Inspector of Police Deepak KC reached Rara from the district headquarters, Gamgarhi.
According to the information provided by the District Police Office, the fire that started from the kitchen of the hotel caused damage to three other buildings when the gas cylinders there exploded.
The police, army and armed police immediately rescued the guests in the hotel and moved them to the nearby hotel, army barracks, park office. Full details of the incident are yet to come.
