Karnali Academy of Health Sciences is allowed to teach 26 seats at postgraduate level

The Medical Education Commission has given permission to Karnali Institute of Health Sciences, Jumla to teach 26 seats at postgraduate level. 26 seats have been allowed to be taught in various disciplines for the study of medical science.

This year, the Medical Education Commission approved 26 seats for the Karnali Institute of Health Sciences. Mangal Rawal informed. He said that with the permission of medical education, the dream of Karnali Academy to start postgraduate has been fulfilled. "In many seats of MDMS, the Medical Education Commission has provided double seats than before," he said, "This is a happy message for all the people of Karnali". One seat each, two seats in orthopedics and trauma and two seats in general medical practice have been allowed to teach. 

'The production of expert doctors in Karnali means that the health services here are becoming independent,' Vice Chancellor Dr. Rawal said, 'Now Karnali is not only treating patients, it is producing medicine and sending it to remote areas to provide health care.'

Principal Dr. Double Bahadur Dhami said that the situation of having to operate hospitals in Karnali due to lack of doctors has ended. "Doctors who studied in Karnali are in a situation where they are providing health services in remote areas. Karnali is becoming independent in health education. It is becoming excellent in health services,'' Principal Dhami said, 'Now Karnali's contribution in health research is also ready to be remembered.'

Earlier, at the first convocation ceremony of Karnali Health Science Academy, Chancellor Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel responded that Karnali has made a leap in the health sector. They also promised that the government will be serious about strengthening the health sector of Karnali.

Karnali Institute of Health Sciences was established in the year 2068. The institution now has a hospital with 300 beds.
