Karnali festival 'Kuda Karnalika' is starting from Monday in Birendra Nagar, Surkhet. This is the sixth edition of the festival which started from 2076. According to the organizer Riti Foundation, all the preparations for the festival have been completed.
As in previous years, this year too, the festival will last until 5th, 6th and 7th of February. The executive director of the board's secretariat for foreign employment and safe immigration at the opening ceremony on Monday noon. Dwarika Upreti will give a speech while Suryanath Yogi, Vice President of Karnali Province Planning Commission, will give an opinion on the justification of the Niti Utsav.
Similarly, during the opening session, there will be a scholarly lecture titled 'Manth and Maido'. The speech will be presented by political analyst Ahuti. In the middle of the opening session, Chief Minister Yamlal Kandel is scheduled to give a speech on federalism. In the sixth edition of
festival, higher education, research and development, women's movement in Karnali, youth activism in Khasa language, women's leadership, apple cultivation, economy, federalism, relationship between Madhesh and Karnali provinces, history of district headquarters, history and current situation of Birendranagar valley, activism in politics, and sports will be discussed in groups. During the festival, there will be scholarly discourses, dances and musical evenings every day.
Earlier, the festival was held at Bubblee Udyan, but this year it will be held in the courtyard of City Hall. Kamal Lamsal, coordinator of the organizing committee, said that Kuda Karnali is a common ground for brainstorming, brainstorming and thinking about the transformation of the economic, social and political interests of Karnali.
