A bus carrying Kumbh Mela pilgrims from Surkhet met with an accident near Babai. According to District Police Office Surkhet, the bus No. 1 B 4331 had an accident in Surkhet at around 5.30 pm on Sunday, 1 km before Babai.
According to SP Rupak Khadka, Chief of District Police Office Surkhet, all the injured have been rescued and taken to Kohalpur Medical College.
The reserve bus on its way to the ongoing Kumbh festival in Triveni Prayagraj of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati in Uttar Pradesh, India, fell below the bridge, the police said. Police said there were 40 passengers on the bus.
