One person died when a bus and a truck collided in Surkhet. Six people were injured in the incident.  The accident occurred when a bus numbered NA 4 B 6263 and a truck numbered Karnali Pradesh 02001 K 0048 collided with each other.

On Thursday, a bus coming from Nepalganj towards Surkhet and a truck going in the opposite direction collided at Sattri in Bheriganga Napalika located on Ratnarajamarg.

The truck driver, 31-year-old Hira Pun of Guras Rural Municipality-1, Dailekh, was informed by Sunar, chief lawyer of District Traffic Police Office, Surkhet. According to him, the truck driver died in Karnali Province Hospital during treatment.

The police said that the injured are being treated at the state hospital and Maya Nursing Home.
