Political parties have agreed for the leadership of three parliamentary committees that are vacant in Karnali. According to which, there is a single nomination of candidates for the leadership of the committee, which has been vacant for a long time.

In order to decide the chairman of the subject committee, the provincial assembly announced the election schedule on Tuesday. According to that, there was a schedule for registering the nomination of candidates on Wednesday. In all the three committees, only 1 person was nominated, said Jivraj Budhathoki, Secretary of the Provincial Assembly.

There are four thematic committees in the Karnali State Assembly. The three major political parties of the state assembly have decided the chairman of the committee on the basis of consensus.

Vindman Bista has been nominated as the chairman of the vacant Public Accounts Committee, Dakshinakumari Shahi as the chairman of the Finance and Natural Resources Committee and Purna Bahadur Khatri as the chairman of the Social Development Committee.

According to the agreement between the three main political parties, the Public Accounts Committee has been taken by the main opposition party Maoist Center, while the Finance and Natural Resources Committee has been taken by the UML. The Social Development Committee has been taken by the Nepali Congress.

Among the four, Kalyani Khadka of the United Samajwadi Party is the chairman of the provincial affairs committee. Public Accounts Committee on October 15, Social Development Committee on July 21 and Finance and Natural Resources Committee were leaderless since April 18. Committees could not work without leadership.
