A health camp has been completed focusing on the Route community at Girigat in Birendranagar-2 of Surkhet. On Monday, 137 people from 48 route families were examined.
The health camp has been completed under the coordination of Public Health Service Office Surkhet under the auspices of Heard Nepal and Nawil Bank. In the
camp, the women, men and children of the Raute community, who were living a nomadic life in the forest, were given free health checks and medicines were distributed. The surgeon Dr. Karnali Pradesh Hospital Surkhet, who has been living a wandering life for years. Rakesh Kumar Yadav, executive director of Heard Nepal, said that four expert doctors served under the leadership of Sujan Sapkota. "Primary treatment has been given to the Raute community, we will arrange for more treatment in the coming days after understanding more health problems," he said.
"Seasonal colds, pneumonia, skin diseases and gastic problems are more common in the Rout community," Dr. Karnali Pradesh Hospital Surkhet, surgeon. Sopkota said, "Some women have also experienced uterus and back pain." Medicines such as zuka, vitamins, and iron pills were also distributed in the community.
