A fire broke out in oranges stored in a house in Jumkholi toll of Dangigaon, Bagchaur municipality-9 of the district. Santosh Basnet and Mahendra Oli, contractors and buyers of Narayangadh, bought oranges from different villages of the district and stored them there.

The fire broke out around 4 o'clock on Thursday morning when the buyer bought it from a local farmer and covered it with tripal in the carat, dock and yard of the house.

Police Inspector Baburam Basnet, Information Officer of District Police Office Salyan, said that 85 carats and five oranges were destroyed in the fire.

The cause of the fire has not been revealed. A team from the local police office, Tharmare, has reached the spot and is investigating. He says that the police have called orange buyers and locals for discussion.
