In Jumla, the savers of the Dialo multi-purpose cooperative organization have started a movement. Even though the time of saving has come, the savers started protesting after the Dialo Cooperative hesitated to return the savings. They have demanded to provide their savings and interest money immediately.
Nepal Federation of Journalists Federation organized a press conference at Jumla office on Saturday and said that despite many efforts to get savings, no hearing was given, but the path of protest was forced to prevail. They have started the movement by forming the Savings Return Struggle Committee under the coordination of Dharmanand Dhital. They have been calling the attention of the district administration police office by surrounding the Diyalo cooperative, demanding the return of savings with placards on the streets.
Dhital, the coordinator of Sangharsh Samiti, said that when he repeatedly asked for savings, he got nothing but assurances. He said, "We have gone many times to return the savings. The employees were asked to pay on different dates, but the savings could not be returned. He was forced to come down to the street.'
They have said that the manager of the cooperative, Deepak Shah, is going out of the district under the pretext of work and the fact that the president, Tek Bahadur Shahi, is in Kolkata, India, has created more suspicion.
Dialo is accused of embezzling money from ordinary citizens in the name of various offers and schemes.
Diyalo manager Deepak Shah is saying that preparations are being made to return everyone's savings by next March. Manager Shah, who reached Jumla only on Friday, said that the savings of savers should be returned. According to him, Dialo has to collect 280 million loan now. The amount to be returned to the savers is 180 million. He said that since the loan collection is going on now, the money of the savers can be given by March.
