One person died in Salyan on Friday after being crushed by a falling rock while extracting stones from the mine to build a house. 44-year-old Pothe Bohra, resident of Sani Jimali, Kumakh Rural Municipality-7, died.

According to District Police Office Salyan, he died on the spot when he was crushed by a rock that fell from above while removing stones from a mine in the community forest at Dangar Pujne Danda, which is not far from his house. 

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police of District Police Office Salyan, Kesar Kumar Neupane, after the local Rakesh Jaisi informed about the incident, the team of District Police Office Tharmare reached the spot at 9 am on Friday, took out the body of Bohra, who died due to being crushed by a rock, and brought it to District Hospital Salyan for post-mortem. He said that further investigation of the incident is underway.
