After a month, the lock of the Karnali Institute of Health Sciences was opened

The teaching staff of Karnali Institute of Health Sciences, Jumla, who have been protesting for 32 days demanding promotion, have returned to work. They are the vice-chancellor of the institute. Mangal Rawal, Registrar Nripendra Mahat, Rector Dr. Double Bahadur Dhami and the locks on the educational and administrative rooms have also been opened.

They said that after holding a press conference at the Karnali Institute of Health Sciences, they postponed the protest program and returned to work. Vice-Chancellor of the Institute Dr. Accounts officer Indraraj Dangi informed that after receiving a written commitment from Rawal to address the demands of the teachers, all the protest programs have been suspended. According to him, the teaching staff started protesting because they were not getting the salary and promotion as per the regulations.

Teachers had filed a case in the High Court Surkhet Jumla bench demanding promotion . The court ruled in favor of the teaching staff on August 26. The teaching staff, who have been holding various pressure programs since the 26th of November 2081, held a two-way talk between the officials and the employees on the 27th of November, saying that the verdict was not implemented. In the talks, the executive council decided to upgrade and submitted it to the assembly for approval.

It is said in the press release issued by them, 'Even though the meeting held on 28th October 2081 under the chairmanship of the Chancellor and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli approved the decision made by the Executive Council, the problem was added after the Vice-Chancellor hesitated in implementing the decision.'

The decision was not implemented After that, the establishment was locked from November 3. The teaching staff also called an all-party meeting at the district coordination committee and the district administration office on November 4 and 5. Since there was no solution, they made the movement more strict.

'After repeated discussions with the negotiation committee formed by the registrar during the movement, a written commitment was received from the vice-chancellor on 4th January 2081 to address the exempted posts, in addition to the notice published in the Gorkhapatra National Daily and in that notice, more clarity has been promised regarding the exempted posts. The statement mentions .

The administrative and educational programs of the institution were affected after the long-term lockdown. 58 teaching staff of the institute were on strike.
