The Chhatreshwari rural municipality of the district is going to support students who write dissertations at the postgraduate level within their municipality with 25,000 rupees. The municipality has said that it is going to provide such support to encourage the higher education of students within the municipality.
Faud Bahadur Basnet, spokesman of the rural municipality, said that 25,000 will be supported by the executive meeting in accordance with the aim of advancing local research and knowledge development through dissertation support. He informed that when writing a research paper, the subject within the municipality should be raised.
"Students within the municipality will have to apply according to the procedure to write a dissertation on a topic related to the municipality when they complete their master's degree," he said, "If the application is submitted, assistance of 25,000 rupees will be provided." Only students who are permanent residents of the municipality will get this support.'
The Municipality of Chhatreshwari Rural Municipality has decided to help post graduate students to write dissertations so that those with low incomes will be more encouraged towards education and because of lack of financial resources, there will be no hindrance in higher education studies.
