The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development has warned the construction professionals to proceed with the projects that have been problematic for a long time in Karnali Province. Minister Sher Bahadur Budha called the non-working construction professionals to the ministry and instructed them to work at the specified time, saying that despite the extension of the contract time and time again, there was no work.
33 big projects are stalled in Karnali. Even though some plans have been extended for the fourth time, the progress is zero. According to the ministry, the work of the second contract from Dunai Saraswati temple in Dolpa to Tiblagaon Thargaon Kandatli, which has only 30 percent physical progress, has been stalled. Shreya Jugal JV took the said contract.
On June 16, 2079, the contract was signed but the work was not completed. Similarly, the Cheda-Thalah-Sanakhola-Jande-Jumla road of Jajarkot was signed on 25th January 2078. Amar Sisne JV has completed only 10 percent of the work. Nepal Mega Sisne JV took the contract to construct a bridge at Salmkhola of Chedagad Municipality at Infrastructure Development Office, Jajarkot on 4th July 2078. Only 30 percent of the bridge has been completed so far.
The motorable bridge located in Barekot Rural Municipality-8 Sanghutra and Nalgad Municipality-5 Sirke in Jajarkot was taken over by Nepal Mega Sisne JV on 29th July 2078. Although the agreement was signed in 2078, no progress has been made so far. Narayanam Nirman Seva Nepalganj 18 Banke took the contract on 23rd June 2079 to construct a concrete bridge at Bhaisedi in Barekot Rural Municipality of Jajarkot.
PS Construction Services Nauvastha-8 Banke took the contract to build a concrete bridge in Kalyan on 30th June 2079. On May 2, 2077, the ministry said that the progress of 33 projects including Seri Pantadi Padmaghat Jumla road in Calikot is low.
Minister Sher Bahadur Budha said that even after the years of signing the project agreement, there was zero progress after public complaints that the builders who did not work were forced to be called for discussion. He said, "We are ready to find a legal way for the builders who do not work within the specified time."
