An ambulance that was stuck at the Primary Health Center in Lekhpokhara, Chhatreshwari Rural Municipality-5 of the district due to breakdown and lack of a driver has come into operation after a year. After the municipality recruited drivers and repaired the ambulance, it came into operation.

Dhan Bahadur Roka of Lekhpokhara said that after the ambulance came into operation, if someone fell ill at night and had to go to the district hospital, the compulsion to carry him and walk for about an hour ended and he was relieved to be taken to the hospital on time. 'It was very difficult when the ambulance broke down and there was no driver,' he said She said. "Pregnant women who could not give birth at the primary health center had to be taken to the district hospital," she said. When she was carried on a stretcher, if she could not be taken to the hospital on time, there was a problem of giving birth on the way, putting the life of the mother and the child at risk. After the ambulance came into operation, we got rid of it.' 

She said that after the ward arranged for pregnant and elderly citizens to charge only a low fee when they ride in an ambulance, those who are in a weak financial situation also got a lot of relief. Dr. Rajan Adhikari, head of the primary health center in Tore, said.

Chairman of Primary Health Center and Ward President Faud Bahadur Basnet said that the residents of the ward, who have been facing various hardships for a year, have been greatly relieved after the ambulance was put into operation. According to him, since the primary health center did not have a budget, the municipality had to bear the expenses of ambulance repair and driver. In 2075, the municipality bought an ambulance and handed it over to the primary health center so that the local people could get healthcare easily.
