The Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yamlal Kandel, has said that the development of Karnali will be possible only if all the ruling and opposition parties join hands and move forward. Chief Minister Kandel, who came to Salyan to understand the situation of the party and the district, said this in a press conference on Thursday.

He informed that even though the party in the government has changed, the policy and program plan and budget made by the colleagues have been continued because all the parties can move forward and reach the destination. "Only if all the parties are united, the budget allocation and development work of the province will be effective," he said.

In the past, due to political strife, development and other works have not been done properly and it is necessary to improve them, he said. He believes that due to the arrogance of the party and the negligence of the contractor, the projects in Karnali province were not completed on time.

For the development of Karnali, Chief Minister Kandel told reporters that the development work of Asare, which has been continuously carried out by the local government and various offices from the past until now, will be completely stopped from this year.

'Even though there are three levels of government, due to the delay in the implementation of the budget, the local government and various offices have a habit of doing development work only in the month of June,' he said. Apart from that, development and construction works have also been stalled. As some of the schemes fail during the rainy season, the government's investment is wasted. We will not let that happen from this financial year.'

He said that the relevant offices and local governments are now being given the authority of the budget in order to carry out development works on time.

Chief Minister Kandel also instructed the concerned offices to end the practice of paying extra fees due to the increasing number of complaints that various offices are charging extra fees from the service users. He also said that if someone is found to have charged more than the prescribed fee, immediate action will be taken.

It was informed that 500 million has been allocated for Jajarkot, Rukum, Salyan and 30 million has been allocated for Salyan and the construction of schools and health institutions will be done immediately from the said budget.
