The Ministry of Health and Population has issued the 'Hospital Service Reform Procedure 2082'.
The procedure has been issued to make the hospital's services people-friendly, accessible and effective. According to the Ministry's Joint Spokesperson Dr. Sameer Adhikari, the Ministry of Health has issued the procedure in accordance with the Public Health Service Act, 2075 BS.
According to the procedure, the hospital should provide quality services to every citizen easily. To manage the patient's treatment records and 'follow-up', an integrated electronic record system should be developed, laboratory reports should be provided 24 hours a day, and doctors should only recommend medicines available in the hospital's pharmacy.
Similarly, if a patient needs to be 'referred', he should be sent to a government hospital with a 'refer slip', the daily required medicines should be available in the hospital's pharmacy, and drug sales promoters (MRs) should not be allowed to enter during office hours and during service delivery.
