The day is being celebrated grandly by organizing various programs with the goal of ending TB in the country by 2035 and making the country TB-free by 2050. The slogan set for this year aims to highlight the importance of national campaign, shared responsibility and public participation, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
At the request of the Ministry of Health and Population, the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has urged all local levels to celebrate this day grandly with the goal of identifying and diagnosing TB, which is a major public health problem in Nepal, and spreading public awareness.

If you have been coughing continuously for three weeks or more, have blood in your sputum, have difficulty breathing or chest tightness, have suddenly lost a lot of weight, sweat a lot, or feel tired, the ministry has emphasized that you should go to the nearest health post and get tested. People with weak immune systems and weak physical condition can easily contract this disease.
According to experts, people with weak immune systems and those who smoke, drink alcohol, or use drugs can contract this disease. Similarly, the infection can recur even if you do not take the full dose of tuberculosis medicine.
Regular intake of medicine cures tuberculosis. Special awareness should be adopted to prevent this disease from occurring. The Ministry of Health and Population has urged the local levels to celebrate the day with grandeur by organizing public awareness, interaction and awareness-raising programs related to tuberculosis control, making maximum use of available resources.
