Construction of Nisikhola Basic Hospital, which started four years ago, has stalled due to lack of budget. The hospital, which had an agreement to complete its construction in 2080, has stalled due to lack of sufficient budget.
Nisikhola rural municipality-4, for the construction of a 10 bed basic hospital under construction in Jhimpa, the work was started on 20th January 2078.
The construction of the hospital, which was started at 80 million 24 million, was completed in the year 2080. Head of Hindung IS/AC JB Construction, Deepak Kumar Aday informed that only 80 percent of the work has been completed so far. He says that the work has been stopped for a year because the budget did not come.
He says that there will be no problem to work if he can manage the remaining 11 million and 60 million from the municipality. He said that if the municipality had managed the budget, the hospital could have been completed in the previous year. The work of the hospital, which was supposed to be completed next year, was extended until the end of June after the budget did not come. Adai says that the work cannot be done until the budget comes.
Adai said, "The work of this hospital is not much anymore, the work of painting, electricity connection and finishing work is left. If there is a budget, the work would be completed in a short time, but the municipality has not yet paid the amount of more than 10 million. Besides that, more budget is needed. If it could be managed, the work would go ahead. If the budget is not available, the work could not be done."
The chief administrative officer of Nisikhola rural municipality, Jeevan Punamar, said that the work was stalled because 15 million did not come from the federal government. He says that since there is a plan under the federal government, the municipality will not be able to put in the budget.
Punmagar said that despite sending a letter to the Ministry of Health and Finance for budget management, it has not been available yet.
