The Ministry of Health has proposed to add 2100 manpower including doctors and nurses to expand the service.
On Monday, the Ministry of Finance held a discussion with the Ministry of Health and Population regarding the implementation of the budget for the financial year 2082/83.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Health has proposed to add 2100 manpower including doctors and nurses for the federal hospital for specialized services and service expansion.
Health Minister Pradeep Paudel said that more manpower is needed to expand services in seven provinces and make health services more effective.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel said in the statement that skilled doctors, nurses and other manpower are needed to make health service delivery fast, efficient and quality, and they will proceed with further consultation on manpower.
On this occasion, health insurance, social security, free medicine provided to children, DPR of Veer Hospital to be built in Duwakot of Bhaktapur, burns and other issues were discussed, according to the Ministry of Finance.
