Citizens affiliated to the health insurance program will now get treatment facilities of up to two lakhs. Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel has announced that this facility, limited to one lakh so far, will be doubled from the 1st of July.

Giving this information through social media today, Minister Paudel said that the treatment expenses for patients with eight types of serious diseases have been doubled. "This decision will be implemented from July 1 to relieve the suffering of citizens who cannot afford medical expenses due to serious illness," he said.

Now patients with cancer, heart disease, kidney disease, head and spinal cord injury (head injury and spinal injury), sickle cell anemia, Parkinsonism and Alzheimer's will get treatment facility up to two lakhs.
